After building a special connection with Alright Gandhi, bringing them to Lithuania and Portugal on tour for the first time, Mouca is releasing their outstanding album “Little Traveller” on a limited handmade baby pink cassette and digital edition.

The Imaginary Map::

I met Alright Gandhi playing a show in Donau115 in Berlin in 2015. i remember a tall girl with an amazing voice, great style, playing simple and beautiful notes on a gorgeous instrument that I would later know as Mercedes, the bass. Behind Rosa, two cool bass players on guitar , Kalle and Pietro, a little bit crazy. It was all low volume, perfect balanced and simply gorgeous. I couldn´t help but feel and pay close attention to that music.

The Mouca connection with the band started by including the song “The Water” on one of the label´s free mixtapes.
Some months later i organized a show for them, again at Donau115, the special venue where I first saw them.
I crossed their path again at Keller, months later, and it was a blast. The club was packed, and the performance powerful. The new songs were so good. The band, now with Dominick on drums, looked relaxed and at the same time mature. In that moment the idea of doing many things with them became increasingly exciting, and they responded with the same enthusiasm. I met Rosa at a movie night and we talked some details for their first Lithuanian mini-tour.

It was winter, freezing, and they travelled by bus to Vilnius. The whole experience was magical with three disctinctly different perfomances showing how versatile they can be. The acoustic show at the eclectic book store Mint Vinetu, the energic show at Pavijonas and the emotional duo performance in Kaunas made a lasting impact.

And summer came, and with it, another dream came true. The portuguese tour was on, it was really happening, and yes, we bodysurfed together in the atlantic ocean. After a confirmed show at Casa da Música, and with the precious help of my good friend Nuno from Dedos Biónicos, the calendar was full for a week. Portuguese food was all over the place, and there were super warm and enthusiastic reactions every night they played.

The triangle is now working, and it will happen again and again.
in the meantime, together, we are getting closer to other overseas adventures, and we are pointing pretty much everywhere there is life in the Universe.

About the Album::

'Little Traveller' is Alright Gandhi's first full length album and the band's second release. Since the 'Widening Circles EP' released in 2014, Alright Gandhi has toured through Morocco, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, England, Portugal and Switzerland, and has newly included drums as an important part the instrumentation. From the folk-heavy and natural sound of the EP has emerged a infectiously raw live band, experimenting with rhythms and colours grown from first hand encounters all around the world. At the centre remains the same core of satisfyingly classic and personal songs written by Rosa. 'Little Traveller' reflects the live experience of hearing Alright Gandhi, now performing as a trio, with Rosa Mercedes on lead vocals and bass, Dominick Gray on drums, and Pietro Fornara on guitar and vocals. The album has been recorded by Kalle Enkelmann at Lakeside Studio, Berlin, in the spirit of presenting a real and original group of musicians. Of course, as with the EP, it wouldn't be complete without various talented friends who gravitate around Berlin being featured on some songs.

For this Mouca release are included "Fish Tank" and "Widening Circles" from two different live acts in Riga (Latvia). How cool is that? Enjoy!
